It's a lot of work to create all that content and scenes, but it's a pretty simple and highly effective way of doing things that would have pleased virtually everyone a great deal. Which things varying based again from our choices and from things like the Galactic Readiness rating. Then give us a whole bunch of ending slides telling us what happened to our companions after the battle and the rest of the galaxy. Sadly what scenes we got of the space battle were pretty basic and had very few and vague differences like the Quarian and Geth Fleets and that's about it.įorget Starchild and RGB, just give a scenes of companions and other NPCs as they live and die during the battle, which then culminates in us setting off the Crucible and destroying the Reapers.
Really just a much grander and more complex version of the ME1 ending, with a bit of the suicide mission in there as well. One last push and hail Mary to put everything on the line for this one last ditch hope. After the moment with Anderson what we should have gotten was a bunch of different scenes from the battle on Earth and the battle in space that put greater focus on actual allies and choices we made along the way as everyone is fighting to hold off the Reapers to give Shepard that moment to active the Crucible.
